I remember the first day I joined my first MLM company.  You see, with my business kit they also provided my “very own” web site.  I was so excited!  I could see the customers coming in from Google, Yahoo and MSN to my web site and buying tons of products.  I could see people interested in a business simply finding me by a Google search and signing up under me.

I had this image that this business, with my company supplied website, would build itself!  What I soon discovered was exactly the reverse… nobody ever visited, except me!

You see there are several problems with company provided web sites, lets take a look at a couple of them, and then consider a solution.

Product Sales & Search Engines
The greatest problem with a company provided replicated web site is that it is exactly the same as every other associate in your company.  Since it is exactly the same, it appears as duplicate content to the search engines.  Search engines hate duplicate content, so they only rank a couple of the web sites highly, and the rest are buried on page 85 of the results never to be noticed!

Business Opportunity Seekers
The competition is just too great to expect your company replicated site to rank well on the major search engines when people are researching a business to join.  On top of that, network marketing truly does boil down to establishing relationships.  It is the relationship and the MLM system you provide that will cause people to be interested in joining your MLM business.

Once you have this relationship, then you are able to send the prospect to your company replicated site to make a purchase or sign up.  That is the only way that a replicated MLM website will work for you and your team.

You have to have a MLM system in place that will do the following 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, in full automation.  Your MLM system must provide product information, business information, and display a system that a potential prospect could see themselves plugging into.  A company provided web site will never do this.  Period!

2. Start writing articles today.  By writing just one simple article that is at least 250 words each day you will start to build your MLM business.  All you have to do is submit it to EzineArticles.com and it will be distributed far and wide.  Make sure you have a resource box that sells to drive traffic back to your capture page, and start generating targeted MLM leads.

3. Blog everyday, or every other if possible.  This won’t bring in traffic instantly, but over time can become a huge generator of traffic and targeted MLM leads for your business.  From my experience it will really start to kick in when you have around  50 – 100 posts or so in your blog.  I try to keep my blog posts generic and teach readers something of value.  Or you can set up a blog just about your MLM company.  Post company news, and events which will help you to get ranked high in the search engines for your MLM opportunity.

Just applying these three simple techniques, will cost you only dollars a month, but allow you to generate a significant income both from your primary MLM company, and outside it using the funded proposal system.

Truthfully my friend was just the latest of a long list of people that had called or emailed me the same question. And my answer was, and always is the same….

There is a reason that we call this business “Network Marketing”. It is all about establishing a network of reps/distributors that both consume and sell the products that we market. Does this story sound familiar to your MLM business?

Did you know that most people will not make a decision until they have been presented the opportunity seven times? It’s true, and if you’re not following up with your MLM prospects, you’re leaving huge money on the table.

A Blog for Branding
As we have talked about previously, an important aspect of MLM marketing online is branding yourself and your system.  A MLM Blog is a really simple method of generating content in the form of small articles that allow you to brand yourself and your system over time.  It is probably the easiest way to establish your own web site and will also generate visitors from the search engines over time.

For my warm market I have a business card that just has my unique address printed on it.  Whenever I come across somebody that would like to know more about the business, I give them a card and they go check out the web site.

I also use if for prospecting online.  Immediately after someone subscribes to my list on my CAPTURE PAGE, they are sent an e-mail with the link to this presentation and a free e-book in it.  So the first thing they are exposed to is a very high quality presentation on why network marketing makes so much sense.

From that stage on, they are usually already sold on the MLM business model, and it’s then a simple manner of explaining our system and our company to them. This is a system that is easy to put together and generates very responsive leads!

So once more – I highly recommend finding good tools, and then leverage the tools to do the explaining for you.

You see when I first began in network marketing I did everything my upline said to do.  Make a list of 100 people and call them all, then follow-up.  I bought hundreds of leads for big money and spent hours on the phone chasing after these people daily. Day-after-day I get “pitches” from other network marketers attempting to sell me on their MLM business opportunity. Generally they spend just about all of thier time telling me how great their product is.

So do people actually join your business because of the product?

Astonishingly the answer is Yes and NO!

Lets begin with the “Yes” part first. In my company I know that around 75% of the associates were product consumers before they turned associates. I have a belief that most of them converted to associates just to get the product cheaper, since they were using the product, daily.  Nevertheless, they didn’t join the company to truly develop a business.  Typically you want new associates that wish to be business builders.

Now lets flip to the NO part.  People join your business, not because of the unbelievable product, but instead they join your business either because of YOU or YOUR MLM SPONSORING SYSTEM.

They can envision themselves working with the MLM sponsoring system you introduce, or your team presents. They want a business, and the product is merely secondary.  Sure enough they might develop to true product lovers, and turn true evangelists, but they joined at first because they could see themselves plugging into your MLM sponsoring system.

Do you find it difficult to speak to MLM prospects on the telephone, getting hung up on, or addressing objections?

I used to be like that, constantly taking the prospects that I would generate online and barf my MLM network marketing business opportunity to them.
